Description

These premium K2 Plus nozzles are an official collaboration between E3D, DiamondBack and Creality, designed specifically for use with their K2, K2 Plus and Hi 3D printers.

Why Choose Diamond?

Thanks to being made from the hardest material on Earth these Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) tipped nozzles deliver unmatched wear-resistance and versatility compared to all other options on the market. They are composed of thousands of tiny diamond crystals with a proprietary binder that forms a matrix of crystals joined with diamond-to-diamond bonds.

And what does that mean for you? With this upgrade you’re getting ultra-durable nozzles that withstand even the toughest 3D printing challenges. You'll be able to print ANY filament – from fibre-filled to metal and ceramics – without needing to worry about destroying the nozzle and endless maintenance.

Precision Printing

The nozzle’s solid diamond tip also significantly improves the printing precision of the filament so you can expect more aesthetically beautiful prints compared to the stock nozzle’s output. You heard that right, a SOLID diamond is going to help reduce unwanted print artifacts make your prints as pristine as they can be.

Material Hardness
PCD (Diamond) 49.8 GPA
Ruby 24.5 GPA
Tungsten 14.7 GPA
Steel 8.8 GPA
Brass 1.5 GPA
Copper 1.0 GPA

Longevity

When printing with abrasive filaments, the primary wear mechanisms on a nozzle are at the tip. Thanks to being bolstered with the hardest material on earth, these nozzles can withstand insane amounts of wear which in turn significantly increases their lifespan over any other options on the market. In essence, once you’ve installed this upgrade you won’t have to worry about getting a new one again. Better for your pocket, and the planet.

Thermal Conductivity

Material Thermal Conductivity
PCD (Diamond) 543W/m-k
Copper 388W/m-k
Yellow Brass 116W/m-k
Tungsten 70W/m-k
Steel 50W/m-k
Ruby 40W/m-k

Smooth and Strong

The PCD used in the nozzle also provides best-in-class thermal conductivity which improves interlayer adhesion for stronger prints. And to top it all off the low coefficient of friction combined with a polished tip creates ultra-smooth top layers with an ironing-like effect.

Effortless upgrade

Seamless upgrade for Creality K2, K2 Plus and Hi; no mount or fan-duct changes required.

Buying outside the UK?

Avoid additional charges and lead time by ordering from your local E3D Reseller.

Please note:

  • Some filled materials contain particles that are close to, if not larger than, some of the smaller industry standard nozzle sizes, including up to 0.4mm. Attempting to print such materials through these nozzle sizes significantly increases the risk of a jam. Please check your filament manufacturer’s datasheet for recommended minimum nozzle orifice diameter to ensure that the nozzle you choose is suitable for your use case.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the nozzle ever wear?
Yes, given enough time the nozzle may exhibit wear, but will do so considerably slower than a Hardened Steel nozzle. Wear resistance is difficult to quantify due to the numerous variables involved, including base polymer, additive, brand, temperature, and print speed.

Can this nozzle print any filament?
Yes, the nozzle itself has the ability to print any material. However, please bear in mind that despite using the nozzle you will still be limited by the temperature restrictions of your printer.

Do I need to make any changes to the slicer profile when printing with a DiamondBack nozzle?
We recommend the standard slicer profiles in Creality Slicer as a starting point when printing with Diamondback HotEnds. However, it may be possible for print performance to be further improved by tuning for your specific filament.
